We hosted a few friends over for a pot luck dinner yesterday, and it happened to be the first time that we brought jeanie over to our place. =) At first she seemed a bit dazed and confused but soon settled into her spot in the yard, looking into the kitchen.
We also brought her around after dinner for her walkies and she seemed to enjoy the surroundings, although she did get in some verbal sparring with a bull terrier and a miniature schnauzer (so cute! pity about the tail (having a waggy tail to greet me is one of those little joys in life)).
Somehow it felt heartening to share the joy of having our new home with our friends and our dog. I must admit that it was a bit of an emotional roller coaster, especially when she initially refused to step in and looked abit dazed and confused. Luckily she warmed up to our place and seemed to enjoy the high-rise view from our window. =)
Another milestone in our life, and it is amazing to be able to share it with our friends, family and our dog.
