And it gets messier....

Again, while very little is reported in the local media, it does not mean our tiny island nation is not being noticed. The right to take away a life is always a hot issue, and external opinions will always sound out loud and everpresent. However, it does not mean we can just bury our head in the ground and carry on what we're doing. In related news, hanging may be replaced by injection. Is there even such a thing as more compassionate way of killing someone?

Hmm... death by beheading, death by burning, death by hanging, death by lethal injection, death by electric chair, death by gas chamber, death by firing squad....

If I may suggest death by old age?

Death by MRT...

The government could make a killing (pardon the pun!) selling front row tickets to the carnage.

Anyways, opponents of lethal injection insist that lethal injection is not as painless as it is made out to be. The first injection paralyzes the limbs and facial muscles. That is why the prisoner looks at peace. The second injection paralyzes the lungs, causing him to suffocate. The third injection stops the heart. Of course, because he is paralyzed by the first injection, it looks as if he isn't feeling pain.

I propose death by fast food as the most humane. Just feed the prisoner fast food like KFC, McDonalds, Burger King, even char kwei tiao, 3 meals a day, until they eventually keel over from a heart attack.
